Does Luck Exist?

For me luck does exist, something like this is proof. The other day i saw something where a guy was hit full pelt by a car on his moped and the moped was destroyed but he walked away with not a scratch on him. Luck is real I believe!

Notice the video, the guy makes a step to the right that saves his life, but he's completely unaware.
ReplyDeleteIf he made the move again, he'd survive again. Should that be considered luck? or just being unaware.
Snooker, every single shot has an angle from which it can go in, but we are just unaware and not accurate enough.
So is luck just getting it right but accident? even though its often said to be something outside of ones control...

I have some comments with regards to this. I believe there are different levels of luck. Obviously the pictures and clips you have above are very lucky, and therefore i would consider these the highest levels of luck on the hierachy.
Then there are some instances when people tell you that you are lucky to get a job, or a nice girlfriend, or nice kids. In these cases you make your own luck. You work hard to get the job, you charm and nail your girlfriend well, and you give your kids the right upbringing. In theses cases luck does not exist, you make your own luck. These don't come along without hard work, sweat, blood and tears, and in my beloved Felicity's case, a few tubes of KY (i'm a gentleman)!!
