Incase you want to make a night of the Superbowl more, 'interesting'...

This game is doing the rounds on the internet. While it means no offense its probably better people look at the game as light hearted realistic view of the Saints as opposed to insulting them.

(Incase you dont know, 1 drink = 2 fingers depth of a pint of beer)

I bring you, The New Orleans Saints Superbowl Drinking Game!

Star-divide

The New Orleans Saints Superbowl Drinking Game

1. Every time they mention hurricane Katrina = 1 drink

2. If they show pictures of the City of New Orleans right after Katrina = 1 drink

3. Every time they say how much the Saints mean to the City of New Orleans = 1 drink
4. Every time the words "tragedy", "flood", or "devastation" are used = 1 drink

5. Every time they talk about how good Reggie Bush was in college = 1 drink

6. If they show Kim Kardashian in the stands = 1 drink

7. Every time they show a picture of Reggie Bush with a bat or say "bringing the wood" = drink for 5 seconds

8.. Every time Reggie Bush gets negative yardage trying to run around in the backfield a bunch and outrun the defense = 1 drink and turn to the person next to you and say "I told you Vince Young should have won the Heisman"

9. Every time Reggie Bush gets up and flexes his arms in that pose he likes to do = 1 drink

10. If they mention Tim Tebow for any reason = drink remainder
11. Every time they say that "it’s destiny for the Saints to win" = 1 drink

12. If they show footage of Katrina survivors at the Superdome = take a shot of cheap liquor

13. If they call Saints fans the most passionate fans in football = 1 drink

14. If they say that the Saints, Saints fans, or the City of New Orleans "deserve" a Superbowl victory = 1 drink
15. Every time they say how good of a story the Saints are = 1 drink
16. If Jeremy Shockey pretends to be hurt after dropping a pass = 2 drinks
17. If they mention the Saints beating the Falcons in 2006 in the first game after Katrina in the Superdome = drink remainder and remember that we are still a better football team with better fans.

18. Every time they compare hurricane Katrina to the Haiti earthquake = drink remainder
19. Every time they mention Drew Brees as the Mardi Gras king = 1 drink

20.. Every time they show Archie Manning = 1 drink and mention how bad he sucked. If they show old footage of him on the Saints = 2 drinks. If they mention how tough of a decision it was for him as for whom to cheer for = 5 drinks

21. Every time they show a saints fan yelling "Who dat!" Or a sign/shirt saying the same = 1 drink

22. If they show Chris Paul at the game = 1 drink and mention to someone how much better he is than Marvin Williams.

23. If they show former Mayor Ray Nagin = 2 drinks and then punch someone in the face

Other Rules not involving the Saints:
1. Every time they show Eli Manning in the press box = 1 drink
2. Every time Pierre Garcon is mentioned with Haiti = 1 drink
3. If Brett Favre is mentioned for any reason = 1 drink

Good luck surviving the game!

Mates Rates

So tonight was the big night, the evening when friendship was reevaluated. Ironically, it made me appreciate my own relationship more as well as reminding how important my close mates are too.

I think most of the guys realised that we are drifting apart and that more will be done to keep us connected in some way.

At the same time I realised how good my relationship is based on the grievances of others and how having a girlfriend who is just like a best friend can really be the difference between it working and it not.

I honestly don't think i've been this happy in all my life, and while my brain has been taught this means i'm heading for a fall I don't think I actually care. You have to take the good times while they roll; and i'm rolling.

Tonight was a funny experience with our dinner starting at 7 and then doing 50 shots in Baa Bar by 9.15pm, meaning we were all gone (in the drunk sense of the word) by 10pm.

Hence the only video in which PJ makes a bet he can't keep to:

Human Nature

The Greater Manchester 192 bus route from Piccadilly to Hazel Grove (where I happen to need to get too) is infamous around the country and even has its own wikipedia page (now that's impressive).

Unfortunately, this fame is completely negative and the amount of incidents on this route makes you wonder why there aren't sociologists on every trip studying human behaviour, it makes excellent viewing for students of human interaction like myself.

The bus route is mentioned in many books highlighting the fissures of 'Broken Britain', and is the first thing many people mention when talking about my home town of Stockport. To quote that very wikipedia page:

"According to the Stagecoach Group, the route is the busiest in Britain, with around 9 million passengers carried annually,[11] and GMPTE has designated the A6 as a quality bus corridor.[12] The 192 is also noted by Stagecoach as being a problematic bus route with regards to anti-social behaviour, and CCTV cameras were installed on them.[13]"

I have heard many stories including a 'person' (use the term lightly) attacking the bus driver while the bus was in motion at 6am, forcing the bus to crash into two shops on a high street.

However, I witnessed first hand the wrath of the 192 tonight. Ironically, a friend and I decided to go home early and get some grub on the way home and take it easy. Unfortunately, we never accounted for the turbulence that is the 192 at night.

One a quiet Tuesday night the last thing you would expect is a fight between young men trying to prove who is more unintelligent; the man fighting a group by himself and repeatedly returning for more despite being annihilated over and over, or the group of 'chavs' inflicting the punishment who were in custody of a baby child. At one point the mother of the baby ran to a friend and protested excitedly, "I JUST GOT HIT IN THE FACE HAHA, IM GOING BACK!!!".

I know what your thinking...nope the 1 braincell group managed to beat the 5 braincell guy. Although to be fair, the group probably had 6 braincells between them. Darwinism at its finest.

What was amazing is that from it all came a strengthening of the rest of the passengers. What had been a uninteresting journey for most became a source of discussion. Some members of the bus (older generations) used it as a example of why the country has "gone to pot" and I did hear "young ruffians" occasionally. Some used it to analyse lower class behavioural patterns ('toffs' from Marple). And then some saw the funny side and made jokes about a slightly surreal situation and the fact they now were delayed too much to get food from anywhere (us).

I'm hungry.

Film Review: The Hangover

I went to the cinema hearing great things about 'The Hangover' and expecting a lot. I can honestly say i was not disappointed.

Todd Phillips directed another comedy favourite of mine in 'Old School' and this is definitely better. The script delicately balances the line between crude humour and great film making. The soundtrack is of a high standard which ironically is lost because you spend your time laughing at the joke just gone, yet it still manages to have a positive effect.

This movie perfectly taps into the Man-crush/Bromance theme thats in social networks currently and you can't help be feel part of the group and feel involved in this laugh a minute ride. The film is geniunely gripping and while very little happens you want it continue and never end.

The best comedy since Anchorman - 9.0/10

PS. stay for the credits :D

Thai, Blue Tits, Suction Hoover, Breast Augmentation & Threesome of Friends

I feel the first thing i should do is explain the title. I was pointed in the direction of a new piece of software by Nobby Nutkins (his excellent and hilarious blog - http://nobbynutkins.blogspot.com/) that tells me where people have clicked onto my site and where they left to, this excellent program is highly arousing to someone like me and I get excited when i see that people in Florida, Kenya, Sweden, Massachusetts and Canada read my blog.

However, this is slightly short lived when i see that someone from Bayern in Germany found my site using google to search 'Hookers'...(see previous article on such topic). I can only hope this person found my article entertaining and informative...although one wonders whether this is the kind of material he was after, hmmmm.

Anyway, in a shameless attempt to recruit more international traffic i decided to name this topic after harmless things that might provoke such google searches....lets see what happens! And to be fair last night was a little messy and i don't really think there are any words to describe the videos i'm about to post...lets just say Adam had a shocker...must have been the Whisky my mother gave him beforehand.

Theres only 4 really short videos, so give them a watch and PLEASE COMMENT! :D

Bear was very angry, but Adam only wanted to sell himself:

And continued to embarrass himself:

We then reached a takeaway to try and sober him up:

But this only lead to confrontation:

Stockport Beer and Cider Festival 2009

Wow where do i begin. This occasion at Edgeley Park, home of the mighty Stockport County, has a lot of strange allure, its good fun but it shouldn't be.

We went down not expecting a lot, and boy were we not disappointed. The drinks were disgusting, actually, disgusting. There is a reason you can't buy them outside of Somerset... We drunk a 10.3% stout called 'Ring of Fire' (its made with chillies) and nearly vomited...the cider while tasting okay, smelt like Adams sock after a hard spin class...the 'Rest in Peace' strong beer and 'Outstanding Blond' weak beer were equally disturbing.

Despite this we had a great time and want to go again! I actually cannot tell you why...

and the famous 'Ring of Fire'...

Family BBQ

On a bright day of May my parents offered to invite some of my friends, who you all know and love, round for some BBQ'd food. It was delicious and the weather was gorgeous, we had some excellent banter some of which cant be shown, and some devastating news for Rhian69...:

And then my mother explained the strange words my Grandmother used to say:

Again Man crushes arise and Adam thinks hes a dinosaur:

And then Adam thinks hes a cat:

Spring BBQ at TO's

Global warming, while being a terrible curse on this globalised world, also has a silver lining. A nice sunny day in early spring. Shorts on. Sunglasses on. Windows down. BBQ Time.

However, BBQ's tend to be a little difficult without a BBQ and without any gas. Never fear for this is only a minor setback to such an intelligent group of males. We banged the grill on and got on with enjoying the sun, music and jokes from the night before (see earlier posts!)

'Dick' dove into the role of head chef, i assumed the position of sous chef while 'Bear' rendered himself useless almost immediately. Later 'Sherman' joined us with a crate of beer and a bottle of JD (after last nights antics this made me turn the same colour as the 99 ice cream's that somehow made it to the party!)

"Here We Go Again On Our Own!"

This morning my merry men and I embarked our our weekly journey that puts amateurs across the country to shame. We are D&C Athletic FC. We are titans (not) of the East Cheshire Sunday Football League. However, its difficult to play when the star defenders, goalkeeper and strikers are lost....:
